Aanpasbaarheid vs weerstandigheid

AANPASBAARHEID vs. Weerstand. Flexibility

Pyn of Plesier?

Do you ever work at your business and then neglect your family?

WRITTEN BY STEVE MARR
FRIDAY, 2 MARCH 2012

King Solomon wrote, "They made me caretaker of the vineyards, but I have not taken care of my own vineyard" (Song of Solomon 1:6).
A promotion at work may be great, and a nice raise always comes in handy. The key is to ensure that our priorities--the Lord, family and then work--are always in proper order. If you are not able to spend time with your family and the Lord, look at adjusting your work schedule, or if necessary, look at changing jobs. Keeping your priorities straight will honor the Lord.

Change Agents Radio talk with Dr Mario Denton

Stagneer , verander of transformeer

Skakel ons by 021 en maak die registrasie so gou moontlik

When you see an injustice or bad practice in your company, do you look the other way?

WRITTEN BY STEVE MARR

King Solomon observed, "If you see oppression of the poor and denial of justice...in the province, do not be shocked...for one official watches over another official, and there are higher officials over them" (Ecclesiastes 5:8 NASB).

When we see a poor practice in our company, we need to raise the issue first with the person directly involved. State your concern and what change should occur. Then if necessary, respectfully take the matter to that person's boss. Your company will be stronger with your leadership in correcting problems.

Change Agents Conference

How do you define success? A powerful insight from Dr Mario Denton

How do you define Success? Is it the one aim you life for? Don't let success blind you! Strive for daily significance. Remember Success is a function of Hope, Love and Peace
S= F(H x L x P) If one of the elements is 0, the whole formula will be naught.

SAVE THE DATE

Improve your small business

As business school lecturer and consultant I love talking about sessions to facilitate business moving into new challenges. So marketing and strategy, and selling and product knowledge thinking are just great topics. But the recent group of people from Mamelodi and Thembisa really challenged me to think about entrepreneurship in a totally different way.

How do you equip people with the necessary skills that will enable them to take responsibility for themselves, their families and their communities on a sustainable/long-term basis of entrepreneurship?

I presented a Business Matters course program put together by Sibusisiwe Community Care after I had done some research on the topic “Entrepreneurship that prospers”.

A group of delegates were invited by Mathilda Fourie of Moreletta Park. The first two sessions consisted of a discussion of the entrepreneurship calling. After that we talked about the character of an entrepreneur and a good steward. The highlight of the day was using the three God Provides videos, namely Abraham and Isaac, The widow and the oil, and  Jeremiah’s calling. We then discussed these videos with an emphasis on the role of the entrepreneur.

Later that day we did some basic calculations and took all the participants  through concepts like buying, finding the gap, marketing, selling, stock taking and a basic business plan.

WOW! I just love this programme, which can really benefit many entrepreneurs trying to get into the market. I’m looking forward to doing a similar one again. Please contact us if you are interested in assisting us in rolling out a similar seminar.

Your marriage matters, make it last. MMI Conference

AS MARRIAGE goes … so goes our family. As the family goes, so goes the nation. As the nation goes, so goes the world.

At our regional conference in Paarl we gathered together to discuss the following:
• The power of prayer
• Getting to the heart of conflict
• Pursuing financial unity
• Pursuing parenting unity
• Building character unity in your life
• Career success and family excellence
• Emotional healing.

To us it was really a fresh encounter with some back-to-basics Kingdom support material and tools to develop marriages and families to make a difference towards their journey of marital and parenting significance. We are ready to repeat this for other regions.

Career Direct News

I was invited by De Villiers Graaf High School in Villiersdorp to share in their school's presentation for Grade 9's Choosing the appropriate subjects for a chosen Career Path. I had a 30 minute slot which included introducing Career Direct as a reliable programme that will ensure an accurate career choice, matching people with their desires, abilities and talents.

My contribution was very well received, and I expect some follow ups to flow from this.

Thanks for your guidance, support and prayers. Blessings.

TRAINING INTERVENTION BUSINESS BY THE BOOK: Are some pages missing in the way we currently do business?

The best “golden oldie” but absolutely relevant seminar from Larry Burkett.
To date I have not found a better book on this topic. It explains the purpose of business, ownership, finances and integrity.
We are now looking for business people to be co-facilitators and look forward to training you in this regard. See the comment below.
Please contact me so we can train you to take this seminar into your small groups.

BUSINESS FORUMS: FAD OR FASHION?

In my experience as business consultant and coach I have been amazed to see that the most learning and growth do not take place at conferences and seminars but in small group sessions.
Our small group sessions are powerful and will equip you as a business leader on your journey to personal, business and marketplace transformation.
Contact me so I can send you this material so that you can start your own group. This is not a fad or fashion but rather a non-negotiable, essential way of continuous growth and accountability.

SOME KINGDOM MESSAGES FOR THE MARKETPLACE: MBA or KBA – What is the difference?

Often in business the focus is on the company, about how much you can make, about your personal success and how to please people. It is also about short-term gain and brings uncertainty, anxiety and stress.
From the Kingdom perspective it is about His company, how much I can give, helping others to achieve, a lasting legacy and about contentment and patience.
Stewardship is to be faithful, prayerful and responsible.
Do you need more info on this? Contact me so I can send you this PowerPoint presentation.

BUSINESS BY THE BOOK SEMINAAR MORELETAPARK PRETORIA. Johan Louw

Invitation to mobilise

At various times during the Reunion, I asked myself why I was really at the conference and what am I going to do with the newly acquired information. These questions kept me awake into the early hours of the morning! I have one serious request at this time: I am trusting God for 100 committed, passionate coordinators that we can train as seminar instructors, small group leaders, stewardship or marketplace coordinators, Career Direct consultants or business forum leaders.

If you would like to get involved, please send an email to mario@crown.org.za or contact our office on +21 979 3198 right now for further details. Additional information can also be obtained by visiting www.crownmarketplace.co.za

The 31St FCCI International Conference Tucson, Arizona

The theme of the 31St FCCI International Conference was “Back to the Basics” and we were not disappointed! FCCI (Fellowship of Companies for Christ International) is a membership organisation with a vision to transform the world through Christ, one business leader at a time.
The conference opened with Pat MacMillan, founder and CEO of TRIAXIA Partners, talking about leadership and the pitfalls that surround us and the biblical metaphors regarding leadership.

Back from Crown Financial Ministries Reunion

I am back in South Africa after attending the Crown Financial Ministries Reunion week in Asheville, North Carolina. I am definitely ENcouraged and INspired and TRransformed by all the teaching during that special week and I am very grateful for the opportunity to have attended the Reunion. Crown Financial Ministries is now in its 35th year of existence and it was so refreshing to see what is currently happening around the World, through the teaching of Crown.

It was exciting to see the progress on every continent and specifically the truth that God’s economy brings into the hearts and minds of those being served.

Character First training in Nigeria

Nigeria is a massive country of almost 100 million people comprising 250 ethnic groups speaking 4000 dialects. In size, it is more than two and half times the size of California. The diversity of Nigeria is reflected in its rainbow of creeds and complexions, views and counterviews, stretching from the fringes of the desert in the North to the Atlantic waters in the South.

We have been involved in taking Character First into Nigeria and initiate the implementation of it within Church groups as well as business implementation groups.

Presenting and coordinating excellent marketplace conference

Equipping Horses conference attended by 120 participants and 50 delegates pre conference and selling the DVD material afterwards with articles in the Joy magazine

Kent Humphreys said the following:

“At this first ever African conference we had leaders from twelve African nations including Egypt. The enthusiasm was very high throughout the three days. The pre-conference tour on the first day was sold out with a bus load full of 52 leaders visiting three different companies. Dick Wynn, formerly of Crown and who has spoken at our FCCI conference, Jerry Forster, who owns a large financial advisory firm, Graham Power, of The Power Companies and who also started the Global Day of Prayer, were also on the platform. The teaching was solidly biblical and very practical. The questions and interaction in the workshops was perhaps the best that I have seen anywhere in the world. The participation by the women and spouses was also are high as I have seen anywhere in the world. Of course the worship and dancing and singing definitely went a step beyond our worship in the USA”.
